Andrea Maria Mandelli is the fourth generation at the helm of Enrico Mandelli Spa. It was his great-grandfather Henry who started the business in the early 1900s as a leather merchant on the banks of the Adda River.
His son Paolo joined his father in 1925 and thanks to his creative and entrepreneurial mind he brought the company into the world of clothing. In fact, Paolo dedicated his entire life to expanding the company together with his wife Ermelinda, producing outerwear with increasingly high-quality and modern materials. Paolo was the true avant-garde for the Mandelli lineage: a great mind, in fact the development at a national level was immediate
During the 50s the development at a national level was so fast that in 1954 the spouses Paolo and Ermelinda Mandelli founded Emme Spa
In 1960, Paolo's son, Enrico, also joined the company, thus starting the third generation characterized by the development of craftsmanship in the manufacturing of garments. Thanks to Enrico, the company in those years reached very high levels of production. The quality in the manufacturing of increasingly sophisticated sportswear with fine materials and noble fibers, such as vicuna and cashmere, combined with the most refined leather, brought the company to such success that in the following years Enrico Mandelli Spa was considered the best manufacturer of outerwear in Italy.
